1810 FIRST OKTOBERFEST
On 12th October 1810, the first Oktoberfest was held in Munich, celebrating a royal wedding. Spaten (1397) and Löwenbräu (1690) are 2 of the only 6 breweries of Muncih serving Oktoberfest beers!
1857 LOUIS PASTEUR
Until Louis Pasteur discovery of fermentation by yeast in 1857, fermentation was thought to be “magic”. At the same time he identified bacterias which was the first step to the invention of vaccines!

Carl von Linde, a German engineer, develops the first equipment to create industrial cold for the brewery of Spaten (Munich). This would allow to produce beer all year round.

Inspired by the beers from Budejovice (Bohemia), Budweiser is launched in US using local signature of polished rice and beechwood aging.
